THE NEW COLLEGE
The New College was established in 1951 and is affiliated to the University of Madras. Having completed more than six decades of dedicated service to the nation, the college has earned an enviable reputation as a leading institution of higher education in Chennai. It was founded by the Muslim Educational Association of Southern India (MEASI) with the primary aim of providing higher education to the educationally backward section in general and Muslim students in particular. However, its doors are open to deserving students irrespective of community, caste, creed or socio-economic considerations. With a humble beginning of 200 students in the intermediate course, the college has grown to the current combined strength of over 5500 students in the Aided & Self-financed streams.
MEASI Academy of Architecture
MEASI Academy of Architecture was established in the year 1999, completing twenty one years now. It is approved by Council of Architecture and affiliated by Anna University. The institute is headed by Prof N. Altaf Ahmed, Director and his team of highly qualified and experienced faculty from across India and abroad. The institute is collaborating with Westminster University, UK. Other partner institutions in Latitude project are from Columbia, Italy, Maldives, UK and Brazil in the climate change forum for student and faculty interaction. The Academy is one of its kind, as an independent college in Architecture from South India. It has also established a reputation for the outstanding quality of education as such it exudes an atmosphere if intimacy, tradition and social spirit amongst its students and faculty. Our students have been placed in reputed firms in India and abroad and have also been associated with universities abroad for higher studies.
MEASI Institute of Management
MEASI Institute of Management (MIM) was established in the year 1987, by its parent body of MEASI (Muslim Educational Association of Southern India). MIM is a standalone institution offering Master of Business Administration (MBA) and PhD in Management programmes. The full time programme was established with the objective of imparting training in different disciplines of management, emphasizing particularly on the practical application of management principles. As one of the leading business schools in the region, MIM offers innovative, holistic and transformative learning, familiarizing students primarily to the Indian business environment, as well as international best practices. The institute strives to create and nurture a new breed of leaders with sound management skills, catering to the needs of the rapidly evolving business and industry.
MEASI Institute of Information Technology
MEASI Institute of Information Technology (MIIT), is the brain child of the esteemed MEASI trust, aimed at providing quality technical education. Accredited by AICTE and affiliated to the University of Madras, MIIT was started as a standalone institution in 2002 and is conveniently located at a prime location. The institution offers a comprehensive two year MCA program, with the sole objective of providing extensive technical knowledge to the students. MIIT is equipped with state of the art labs and infrastructure to provide the students with an opportunity to explore newer avenues and learn new things. Our educational principle encompasses the PRIME pedagogy, a conscientious effort to focus on quality and satisfy all the stakeholders of the institution. MEASI College of Education
MEASI College of Education is a co-educational institution established with the objective of imparting expertise in teacher education. The Institute is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and follows the curriculum provided by Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University, Chennai.
The Student teachers are trained in accordance to the current technological revolutions in the field of education. The institution meets all requirements of such modern teaching technologies to train the student teachers in the best and most innovative pedagogic approaches and methodologies in teaching thereby ensuring the most productive and work-efficient teacher-generation.
